Are you first aid trained?
All pet carers are fully first aid trained. We have a health and safety policy reviewed annually which has to be followed by all staff. We avoid risks by not walking groups of more than three at any one time per walker, as we then cannot give each dog the attention they need and deserve. However if there is an incident then we will always try to take your pet to their own vet but in the event of an emergency your pet will be taken to the nearest vets. We will contact you immediately in this instance.
How many dogs can you walk at once?
We will always ask your permission before taking your fur-baby out with other dogs, however if you do choose to have your dog walked with others to promote socialization, play and enrichment, then that will be in a small group of no more than 3 dogs at a time per walker to ensure a fun, safe and supervised walk.
Many dog walkers walk large groups of dogs at one time. We don't do this. We want your dog to have a fun filled walk without being bombarded by lots of other dogs and also to ensure 100% supervision at all times. There are several reasons we choose not to pack walk such as disease, fights, bullying and injuries.
My pet needs to go to the vet. Will you take them?
We would be more than happy to take your pet to your vets, including dogs, cats, and small animals such as rabbits and hamsters. Please just contact us to book in and for any additional details.
Do you walk our dog(s) from the home or elsewhere and when does the walk time start?
We will usually walk the dog from home if there are parks close by, however we do encourage socialisation, even if you would prefer your dog walked solo, we do believe it is nice to have a change of scenery (and sniffs) once in a while so we do like to travel to nearby parks via car which is completely checked, secured and protected travel. Of course some people prefer for their dogs to not be taken via car which is completely understandable and they will be walked directly form the home.
Regardless of if you have a 30 minute walk, a 60 minute walk, are not happy with travel or are happy with travel, the walk time starts from when the walk starts, so if your dog is taken to a nearby park, the travel time is not included in the walk time.
